1st Year Workshop

Our first year students are unique in many ways however each first year student in the country shares an international experience; leaving Primary School without ever having really finished.  Although both primary and second level schools did their best with virtual graduations and inductions; the virtual is no substitute for a real farewell and  face to face welcome.  For some this lack of transition may have made starting second level a daunting experience.  To address this and other issues each of our first year students will be invited to attend a one day ‘Provoking Thought’ workshop in school in January.  The workshop delivered in association with Donegal Youth Service will focus on Mental Health Awareness and will specifically address the concerns of our First Year Students post-lockdown.  More information to follow from Ms Ward in January.
