Transition Year Trip to Glenveagh

Transition year students visited Glenveagh Education Centre this week to celebrate the culmination of their involvement in the Protect Nature Project.

Schools from Donegal collaborated with Glenveagh for a number of months to research and create pieces of work on the theme of protecting nature. Their work will now be on display at Glenveagh for the next number of weeks.

Students received wonderful talks about Technology and Conservation, as well as some lovely treats from the EDC as thanks for participating in the project.

In the afternoon students visited Alcorns tropical world to see animals and insects from all over the world. Our students thoroughly enjoyed learning about all the exotic animals which will be useful for future creations in their Art classes.

Thanks to Ms Quigley for facilitating the project and organising such a valuable trip for our Transition Year students.
