Many thanks to Miss Michelle Ferry from Mc Elhinneys who gave an excellent presentation to our 3rd & 5th years on the World of Work at their assembly this week. Michelle offered practical advice on interview skills, application forms and CVs, all very valuable for our students as they prepare for their Senior Cycle subjects and for future work experience. Yearheads, Ms Clarke and Ms Mc Granaghan thanked Michelle for giving of her time to help our students in preparation for achieving their future goals.

6th Years information talk from the Money Advice & Budgeting Service

As part of World Home Economics Day 2024, students engaged in a meaningful talk from Ms Elaine Bonner from our local Money Advice and Budgeting Service (MABS). Through discussion and budgeting exercises, the students were reminded of the importance of having knowledge and skills to make sound financial decisions and be more financially aware.

The students were given lots of information about the supports and services available to families who may be struggling with budgeting. The issues discussed are topical for the Leaving Cert Home Economics paper. Thanks again to Elaine for giving of her time to support our students.
