Farewell to the Leaving Cert Class of 2021

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.   Eleanor Roosevelt

The Leaving Cert Class of 2021 enjoyed a wonderful morning of celebrating successes, friendships and memories. (28/05/21)

With the halls to themselves they had an opportunity to soak up the last day of secondary school.  The day begun with time with their class teachers followed by a motivational video of the students (produced by Ms Treanor & Ms Mc Cafferty) before being served with refreshments by our wonderful canteen team. Students were presented with goody bags of keepsakes including a school photo, school hoody and memory book.

Mr Thompson then gathered the group to honour their successes and achievements in their final prizegiving ceremony.  He commended them on their excellent behaviour and dedication to their studies in such challenging times.  As a group they will be remembered for their “togetherness” and of always taking the positives from the challenges.  They have shown leadership and maturity as senior students in their kindness to each other and to the staff.  Yearhead, Ms Clarke, talked fondly of them and how they are a credit to their families and themselves. Class teachers Ms Collum, Mr O Donnell and Mr Byrne also praised them and wished them well.

A special thanks was also given to the students parents for their partnership with the school and for being such an important anchor in their lives.  To conclude Mr Thompson praised them on their contribution to school life and wished them every success as they embark on their future endeavours.

Many thanks to all the staff who helped make the morning a wonderful celebration for the students and a fitting tribute of their time in FVC.
