2023 Open Day at FVC

Thursday 9th November marked a fun day in Finn Valley College where prospective 6th Class students were invited to view the facilities, meet staff and students and participate in a sample of interactive classes across a number of subjects.

Students displayed their problem solving skills in Geography, Science and STEM, which were also useful during an orienteering activity in PE. Their creative skills were demonstrated while participating in activities such as Art, Wood Technology and Engineering. In Home Economics, students helped bake chocolate chip cookies while in Business they learnt about marketing strategies. New friends were made and giggles were had during ice breaker games in Drama.

Ms C Mc Granaghan would like to thank our own students who volunteered to act as subject ambassadors and group leaders on the day. Also thanks to the canteen staff for preparing a lovely lunch for everyone.

We hope that the incoming students enjoyed our Open Day and we look forward to meeting them with their parents/guardians at our Open Night on Tuesday 14th November at 6pm.
