PLC Business visit to LYIT

The Yeats 1 and Yeats 2 Business classes visited LYIT recently

Both of our Business Administration PLC classes enjoyed a very informative and interactive visit to the Business department of LYIT today. The group were treated to a 45 minute talk on the variety of programme options open to them in the college as well as being allowed to sit in on a 3rd year lecture.

The visit was excellently organised by the Head of the Department of Business, Ms Patricia Doherty. First up was a visit to a 3rd year lecture on how businesses are using Social Media more and more for marketing purposes. The students were split into groups with LYIT students, including some of our own former PLC’s and had to feed back to the lecturer Ms Sarah Diffley.

Later, the group were informed of the variety of business courses LYIT has to offer them next year by Ms Vicky O Rourke.

The class were accompanied on the visit by Careers teacher Mr White and Ms Boland PLC Coordinator and Deputy Principal. Our thanks go to Patricia, Vicky and Sarah from the Business department for such a well run, informative and enjoyable visit.
