Finn Valley College Debating Team
The debating team partakes in a national competition and competes through rounds with different schools.
It’s a great way of making friends and learning lots of valuable skills such as confidence in public speaking and preparing convincing speeches.
Senior team members, Clodagh Gillen, Ciara Barry, Geri Murphy, Molly Boyce, Lily Corry, Jack Marley and Niall Ewing, have put in lots of hard work and are really enjoying researching and delivering their arguments and viewpoints on topical global issues. A huge thanks to teacher Miss Aisling Mc Dermott for her invaluable guidance and support. Best wishes to all as they progress through the competition.
