Transfer Day for Incoming 1st Years to FVC
What an incredible day of fun and active learning at our 1st Year Transfer Day on Tuesday. A massive thank you to Ms A Mc Geehan, our HSCL teacher who organised the first day of our Transition Programme for our incoming 1st years.
Our new pupils were fortunate to have a fantastic student mentoring team to support them on their first visit and to show them the way in their new school environment.
Starting post primary is an exciting new chapter in their lives and we enjoyed introducing them to some of their new subjects, their mentors and our wonderful staff. The students were welcomed by Principal Mr Mc Fadden and our Deputy Ms Boland before they began a fun day which gave them an insight into the opportunities that await them in FVC.
Well done too all the incoming students for bringing your energy and enthusiasm. They had a wonderful day exploring, discovering, and making memories together. Many thanks to our dedicated staff for organising such an enriching learning experience for them
In the evening, a ‘Meet and Greet’ was organised for their parents which gave a great opportunity to see their child’s new educational surroundings, learn about subject choice and the facilities and programmes on offer at FVC. The evening finished up with a relaxed “meet and mingle” with refreshments provided. Many thanks to all those who attended and participated in the evening.
We look forward to meeting our incoming students again soon for the next stage in their induction programme and best wishes for the rest of their final year in primary school.
