Darkness into Light 2024

Darkness Into Light 2024, proudly supported by Electric Ireland, took place at 4:15am this morning, Saturday May 11th 2024. Well done to students, staff and the Finn Valley community for participating in this special event and fundraising for such a worthwhile cause.

Thank you to members of our Wellbeing Committee who promoted our school participation and who created such a striking and meaningful display in Drumboe Avenue. It was a lovely focal point lighting up the 5 Km journey as walkers joined together as a community to bring hope to people who have been impacted by suicide. Well done to our Gaisce students who participated in DIL while on their overnight trip in Gartan.

Thanks to Ms Mc Geehan for creating this short video capturing our school community walking together remembering loved ones and highlighting the support of Pieta and their message of hope, kindness and light during difficult times.
