Celebrating links with the community – Finn Valley Guest Tea
Thanks to all who attended and supported both the table quiz in the Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club and the Guest Tea in Villa Rose Hotel in aid of school funds for the European Tour.
Once more the wonderful community spirit synonymous with FinnValley College was on show, with those attending ranging from grandparents, parents, staff and, not least, the tour-going students themselves each of whom hosted their own tables. As the school celebrates Ethos week, it was a lovely event where families and friends joined for a relaxing evening of treats and a catchup over numerous cups of tea.
The fayre on show at the tables was a delight in itself with a huge assortment of treats and sweets adorning each and every table. The tea party goers were also treated to a variety of entertainment on the night. Mr White and Mr Mc Daid were on hand to test the audiences knowledge in a fun quiz. The night’s entertainment concluded with a draw for a number of donated prizes.
Tour organiser and Deputy, Ms Boland, thanked everyone involved for their support, including Mr Godliman, Ms Mc Cafferty, Mr White and Mr Mc Daid. She also gave her sincere thanks to everyone for their attendance and generosity to both events which raised over €3,000. It will help to organise extra-curricular activities while on the European Tour.
We wish the students and staff a fun and memorable trip next week where they will experience the culture and beauty of Italy.
