Attendance Drive 2023

The DEIS Attendance Team have launched the annual attendance drive to promote awareness of the importance of good attendance and also to congratulate students who continue to strive to attend school on a daily basis.

This 4 week drive will see lots of opportunities for Junior Cycle students to become more aware of their attendance and how it enhances their potential to achieve at school. Each week one of the classes are rewarded with a treat with a culmination of one student being crowned the FVC Attendance Hero. There are also prizes for the most improved. Thanks to our HSCL officer Ms Mc Geehan and Ms Mc Granaghan (DEIS Attendance Co-ordinator) for organising this initiative.

Week 1 winners were 2nd Year Class O’Casey who were treated to a fun Halloween Cupcake decorating class in the Home Economics classroom.

Week 2 winners were Class Mc Gill who were rewarded with a hot chocolate and cookies treat class just in time for the Halloween break.

Congratulations to both groups and we look forward to the next 2 week drive which starts in January. So we encourage all students to make everyday count.
