Winner of the Cúnamh Competition

Congratulations to ANNA WARD 1st year student who won the Logo design competition that was run by Cúnamh. Anna used Word Art to create her digital design. The brief was to design a logo that encompasses the role of Cúnamh in the community.

Cúnamh is a voluntary organisation that was founded in the Twin Towns in September 1982. The aim of the organisation is to raise funds for local emergencies for families who find themselves in extreme difficulties.

The name Cúnamh translates to mean ” Aid, Help and Assistance”. Cúnamh is funded mainly by funds from the charity shop in Stranorlar. Mary Mc Ginley noted that there were 85 entries for the competition , and some amazing ideas but there could only be one winner.

Cathal Faulkner and Mary Mc Ginley presented Anna with her prize money today of €250 for the First Prize Winner & also €250 for the School.

Ms Molloy, Anna’s teacher commended her winning and congratulated her on this very creative design showing how you can incorporate words and images to make a logo.

Well done Anna from everyone in FVC.
