Christmas Party 2011 in Jacksons

The school held its annual Christmas party and concert in Jackson’s hotel before the Christmas break.

Approximately 300 staff, students and invited guests sat down to be entertained, firstly by the carol singers and various solo singers and later to a dance from our Strictly Come Dancing dancers, a rare treat indeed! After a beautiful meal in the fine surroundings of the Finn Suite, the draw for the student prizes was made, then it was off downstairs into the Basement Jaxx niteclub for the annual Christmas Disco. Mr Mc Daid was once again on the decks, ably assisted by Stephen Bell from the O Casey class.

Dozens of Spot Prizes were dished out to those chosen as best dancers or best dressed on the day before everyone departed in high spirits for the Christmas Holidays. Huge credit is due to Ms Boland and the Secretarial class for all the time and effort that was put in to, not only the day itself, but also for decorating the school so beautifully. Also to Mr Mc Daid for all his hard work and dedication in supplying his equipment and expertise for the concert and his DJ skills at the disco.
