FVC win Donegal VEC Golf team cup

Mr Mc Daid and Mr White teamed up with former teacher in the school Paul Mc Ginley on Saturday last and the trio managed to win the Sean O Longain cup for the third time in a row for the school.

The third staging of the annual Sean O Longain Inter-Schools cup was held in Portsalon Golf Club on Saturday. Conditions were as close to perfect as a links course could offer and some excellent scoring was had. This competition is contested by teams made up of members representing the various schools and centres of Donegal VEC and it was great to see so many of the centres represented.

Finn Valley emerged victorious as they just edged out teams representing Abbey Vocational School in Donegal Town and from VEC Head Office in Letterkenny. This is the third time that this competition has been contested and remarkably FVC have won it each year.
