FVC are awarded the Amber Flag

Ms Molloy, our Wellbeing Co-ordinator would like to thank all the students and staff who have contributed to our school earning the Amber Flag.

The Pieta Amber Flag Initiative recognises the individual efforts to create healthy, inclusive environments that support the mental well-being of our school. Being awarded the flag symbolises recognition for the wonderful work that our Wellbeing committees completed in promoting awareness around the topic of Positive Mental Health.

Check out the Wellbeing section on our website to learn more about the many activities and initiatives that have been organised and enjoyed by our school this year which encourage us to support one another when times are difficult.

Research shows that adopting a whole school approach provides a wide range of educational and social benefits including: improved behaviour, increased inclusion, improved learning, greater social cohesion, increased social capital and improvements to mental health.
