Student Success in the Kerry Group Online Awards Programme

Ms Ward, HSCL invited students in our school to submit an entry to the Kerry Group Online Awards Programme which meant the winners got to feature not only on their website but in the Irish Independent Supplement The People’s Flag on March 12th 2021.

By entering the Awards programme, students learnt about both the Irish Flag and its meaning for peace, and about the flags of all the nationalities in our school and the meaning and symbolism behind these flags.
There were some fantastic prizes, ranging from school supplies, airpods to iPads and many more!

The school was delighted that Trinity Parker who entered her “Anime Poster 2021” featured below won in the ASD section. Furthermore our 1st year students, Kayla Conaghan and Alannagh Bradley who created a dance video of their interpretation of what the Irish flag means to them won in their section in music and drama.  This is fantastic achievement for the students and the school are very proud of their talents.  Well done to all three girls.
