Yeats PLC class trip to F.A.I. headquarters and Aviva stadium
The Yeats Office Administration class, along with Ms Boland and Mr White, recently paid a visit and had a tour of the FAI headquarters before going on to the Aviva stadium for the Rep of Ireland v Kazakhstan game.Upon arrival in the capital the group spent some time in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre before making the short journey to Abbotstown for a look around the National Sports Campus and a tour of the FAI headquarters by former Deputy Principal of Finn Valley College, Mr Alex Harkin. Mr Harkin delivered an interesting and informative account of the in and outs of the national football association.
From Abbotstown it was on to the magnificent Aviva stadium for the match against Kazakhstan, a game the Republic won 3-1 goals from Robbie Keane, John O Shea and an o.g. cancelling out a fine Kazakh opener. Some of the group got to meet Everton manager Roberto Martinez outside the ground while inside the ground Ms Boland even managed to meet and have a chat with our President Michael D Higgins!
All in all the trip was a great success.
